Supply Chain Manager
Location(s): Coventry
Salary: £40K+ with benefits
Ref: MLR2685
Management of the company's supply chain, specifically ensuring adoption of best practice procedures and supply chain strategy. Experience of manufacturing processes within the aerospace industry would be preferable for this role where some overseas travel will be necessary, and extended working hours.
Key Tasks
• You are expected to provide management and strategic direction to the Supply Chain team
• Identify able suppliers and develop a supply base which provides the company with an optimum service level at lowest cost
• Negotiate contracts covering a wide range of serives from suppliers that meet the planned performance targets
• Manage supplier performance - improving quality - cost and delivery metrics - and develop joint initiatives with suppliers
• Lead Make ‘v’ Buy decisions
Experience
• A minimum of five years Strategic Supply Chain experience preferred
• Educated to Degree level or CIPS qualified
• Global Sourcing experience
Results Measures
• Manage stock levels and ensure that deliveries are made at ciritcal points in time
• Achievement of best value
• Targets include achievement of Supplier Performance Improvement, cost reduction and delivery time reductions
Location is within easy reach the West Midlands, Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire, Northamptonshire and surrounding areas - including Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Leicester, Derby, Loughborough, Stafford, Cannock, Wolverhampton, Nuneaton, Northampton, Banbury.
