Senior Buyer

The Role
An immediate requirement for a purchasing professional.
The Supply Chain team of this organisation requires a Senior Buyer to assist and support them for an initial 3 month period (with the possibility of extension).Your remit will be to assist in the estimating and bidding process to form the basis of material requirements on contract award and monitor the materials spend against tender submission. You will also prepare and issue all sub-contract tenders as well as prepare purchasing performance information, as required, detailing work in progress and planned and negotiated savings.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent contract negotiation and supplier rationalisation skills as well as taking a pro-active approach in the strategic development of the organisation's procurement strategy. Commercially aware, you will be able to liaise and negotiate with both internal and external parties and at all levels.
Salary
£40k pro rata - £300 per day
