Purchasing Sourcing Manager
Location: Warwickshire

The Role
The position involves working closely with Brands and Marketing the Purchasing Sourcing Manager will monitor competitors
in the relevant sector area to identify and realise margin improvement, market penetration opportunities and new products/market applications.
• Manage suppliers and product ranges to reduce COGs, maximise gross profit through effective negotiation with suppliers in line with company expectations and optimise purchasing power from supply base.
• Source and negotiate the supply of quality products to meet the identified business needs
• Manage the supply base and improve supplier performance levels e.g. OTIF and lead times. Ensure suppliers fully understand and meet service requirements.
• Manage strategies to ensure product supply sustainability, mitigating risk and commercial exposure.
• Ensure implementation of sourcing policies are consistent with Corporate responsibility and Legal sourcing.
• Implement and manage strategies to ensure consistency of product specification and supplier quality control procedures so that their products meet our quality & environmental standards.
• Manage KPI's to monitor financial and other product performance targets and initiate action plans to ensure these targets are met.
• Develop key interfaces of internal customer relationships to enhance Company performance
• Manage Supply and SKU Base to optimise levels to deliver objectives.
The Person
The successful applicant will possess up to 5 years purchasing/ sourcing experience preferably gained within a fast moving products business. Energy, commercial awareness and a desire to succeed are important attributes. Other skills required include:
• Confident and persuasive negotiation skills.
• A thorough understanding of good, professional, procurement practice gained within a retail/wholesale or similar product base fmcg business.
• Demonstrable previous commercial achievement in terms of improved product margins.
• CIPS qualification would be advantageous albeit not essential.
